I was born in New Jersey to immigrant parents who instilled in me the obligation and desire to give back. Helping RCWS accomplish its mission is a great way to help support a vulnerable population — children in orphanages — who can contribute so much if given the opportunity to thrive.
As the father of two children who were adopted internationally I am particularly interested in the plight of children in orphanages and in trying to find ways to help improve their lives.
My last experience with a marathon was also my first — the NYC Marathon in 2010. It was a phenomenal experience to run through the city I love and take in all the sights and sounds and feel the support of all the people lining the streets cheering. I feel like I still have unfinished business and can improve upon my performance. The marathon is a tremendous physical and mental challenge. When you cross the finish line you really feel like you’ve accomplished something special and pushed yourself to the limits.
