How to Start your Fundraising Campaign
Starting your own fundraiser is so simple.
Each RCWS runner will have an individualized fundraising page on RCWS web site with their picture and a short story. The bulk of your campaign will be through online donations via your individualized fundraising page, which RCWS team is going to create.
Here are some ideas with links on how to get started.
Reach out and e-mail your friends, family members, co-workers and ask them to spread the word and support your participation in ING NYC Marathon 2011 on RCWS behalf by raising highly needed funds for orphans and sick children in Russia. It’s one of the easiest ways to raise awareness and funds. RCWS will be happy to provide you with a draft.
Host a Social Event — for example, a bake sale, talent show, house tour, concert or wine tasting — in your community.
Plan a Sporting Event — such as a walk, bike ride, softball game or volleyball match — and request contributions.
Create a Tribute campaign — Run in honor or memory of someone. For example, you could run in honor of your inspirational figure or family member.
