50th Petroushka Ball

The 50th Anniversary of the Petroushka Ball saw a record number of attendees (over 800) and was a spirited night of celebration with both RCWS’s longstanding supporters and newcomers.

50th Petroushka BallAmong the highlights of the night was a beautiful performance by Metropolitan Opera soloist Olga Makarina and a medal of honor bestowed upon RCWS President Beatrice Fekula by Igor L. Golubovskiy, Consul General of the Russian Federation in New York in honor of Vladimir Fekula for his commitment to helping disadvantaged Russian children.

The Ball was a uniquely festive event that saw guests dancing into the morning hours to Russian folk music and toasting to the success of the Russian Children’s Welfare Society’s future.

RCWS would like to thank the Petroushka Ball Junior Committee Co-Chairs: Tatiana Sarandinaki Kadaria, Aleksei Brown, Katia Sokoloff, Maria Ross and Kyrill Firshein. Their help was instrumental in making the 50th Petroushka Ball a success.
