Petroushka BallSince its inception in 1965, the Petroushka Ball has been one of New York’s most vibrant and elegant Russian-American events. One of its unique features is its two distinguished orchestras — The Lester Lanin Orchestra in the Grand Ballroom coupled with the Barynia Balalaika Orchestra in the Terrace Room. In the past decade many of the world’s greatest artists have appeared in the Petroushka Ball including Anna Netrebko, Dimitri Hvorostovsky, Olga Borodina from the Metropolitan Opera and principals from the American Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet. We are humbled by the excellence of artists who have performed at the Ball solely to improve the lives of disadvantaged children.

PerformanceAll net proceeds from the 49th Petroushka Ball are directed towards RCWS’ charitable programs. Among them are educational scholarships for orphans, medical treatment for children with severe facial deformities, assistance to orphanages, rehabilitation programs for children with special needs, a "Yelka" (New Year and Christmas tree) party in Moscow for over 1,000 disadvantaged children visiting from many areas of Russia; and other vital programs. You can support these programs and be a part of the Petroushka Ball in one or more of the following ways: purchasing tickets to the Ball; placing advertisements in Petroushka Ball program; donating prizes for the raffle; making a cash donation; supplying products for the gift bags.
