San Francisco - Russian Children's Welfare Society

The San Francisco Branch of the RCWS was established in 1932. Each year since its founding, this branch of RCWS has been celebrating The Day of the Russian Child as their main fundraising function. This event not only gives the Russian community in California an opportunity to support the Society’s humanitarian causes, but also provides a chance for the children to gather, perform and celebrate Russian culture and traditions.

Throughout the years, the SF RCWS branch goals have been the same: helping orphaned, abandoned, disabled and ill Russian children. The San Francisco Office has sent financial aid to hundreds of Russian children worldwide, some being assisted individually, others receiving help through orphanages, shelters and hospitals.

The SF RCWS office is staffed entirely by volunteers.
